Tiger Woods greatest moments are unforgettable and are worth celebrating any chance we get. Tiger Woods is arguably the best golfer of all time. He’s been taking the golf world by storm since he was two years old. Let’s take a trip down memory lane and watch some of Tiger Woods best moments.
1. The Mike Douglas Show
In 1978, Tiger was introduced to the world. He took a swing and impressed Mike Douglas, Jimmy Stewart, and Bob Hope with his excellent shot. Who knew this little 2-year-old boy would become a golf legend.
2. Hole-In-One... TWICE!
In 1996 and 1997 Tiger made some epic hole-in-one shots! At the Greater Milwaukee Open on the 14th hole, Tiger said “Hello World” after he made a hole-in-one. Then the following year in 1997, he made another hole-in-one on the 16th hole during the Phoenix Open. His genius and skill on the course are undeniable.
3. Bunker Shot? No Problem
It’s like he’s a golfing god. Tiger took his shot with a 3-iron from the 18th hole bunker during the 2002 PGA Championship at Hazeltine and made it just a couple feet from the hole. Remarkable. Tiger and other pros consider this to be Tiger Woods' best shot ever.
4. Good Things Can Happen After Dark
During the NEC Invitational in 2003, Tiger was holding a 10-shot advantage. The sun was starting to set in Akron, Ohio but that was no big deal for Tiger. Tiger took his shot and made it within a few feet of the hole, tapped it in, and won by 11! In an interview, he said that he used to sneak out onto the golf course and play in the dark, so this felt natural to him.
5. One More Practice Shot
This moment at the Open at Pebble Beach in 2010 was an unforgettable one. On the 18th hole, Tiger went to swing and stopped himself. He decided to take a few more practice swings, and it paid off. He aimed over the ocean and landed just a few feet from the hole. Talk about a shot.
6. An Unforgettable Chip
One of Tiger Woods greatest shots was his chip on 16th at memorial in 2012. It was a tricky shot because there was water just on the other side of the green, and there was a ridge. Tiger took his swing, lofted the ball onto the putting surface, and holed a chip! It was truly an incredible shot. Jack Nicklaus himself said it’s one of the best shots he’s ever seen based on the conditions Tiger was in.
